A vacation, reunion and disappearance are just a small piece of the excitement in Meet Me in Barcelona by Mary Carter. Grace Sawyer is preparing for her birthday. She is in love with her boyfriend, Jake and is hoping that he will propose soon. When the couple is given an all expense trip to Barcelona, Grace is for sure her engagement will be soon after. Once Grace starts to really think about the trip she becomes suspicious because who would just give someone a trip to Barcelona? Jake convinces her that they should go and enjoy the trip and all is going well until Grace runs into her foster sister Carrie Ann.

Carrie Ann’s life is falling apart and she is hoping that Grace can help her get away from the horrible marriage she finds herself stuck in. Grace is confident that Carrie Ann is up to something that she does not want to be a part of but what do you do when the situation snatches your boyfriend. When Jake and Carrie Ann disappear, Grace realizes that she will have to visit her past in order to save them and whatever happens will be.

After reading Meet Me in Barcelona I found myself wondering if I really know the people I am close to.  This book had minor drama with some suspense and well-developed characters. The twist and turns in the story took too long which made me lose interest in some areas. The author does a wonderful job with description placing you in Barcelona with the characters. Overall, I would recommend Meet Me in Barcelona to others.
