Alvin Zak is a journalist with a love for music in Worth The Risk by Stacy Deanne. Alvin attends a program where a violinist plays and realizes he must interview her. Madeline Deever doesn’t do interviews even though she sees that Alvin is interested. Unbeknownst to Madeline, Alvin doesn’t like to take no for an answer.

Alvin’s continuous pursuit of Madeline breaks her down until she gives into a date. Madeline is cautious because of good reasons and for fear if Alvin finds out her secret he will dismiss her. The music Madeline plays through her violin brings them together but in one night everything changes. When Madeline’s secret is revealed, what will Alvin do?

Worth The Risk was an exciting book with minimal drama, some suspense and anticipation of Alvin’s decision. This is a love story full of possibilities which kept me reading.  The character’s were well-developed and brought life to the story and I loved the back and forth with the main characters. I recommend Worth The Risk to others.
