Detective Lisa Swanson gets involved in a case when a victim named Devon Barnes has her contact information in his phone. It raises questions for her and other detectives especially since she doesn’t recall ever meeting him. While Lisa gets involved in this case she also has to deal with taking her relationship with Jake to the next level and sorting through her feelings with fellow detective Winston Lewis.

Deanne delivers a sort novel chock full of intrigue and romance. The main character Lisa leaves you scratching your head as you wonder what her real connection is to the victim. The more they delve into the case the deeper her connection to Barnes is revealed and her denial stays strong.

This is a good read and because it’s not lengthy the author gets straight to the point. This is the second one I have read by her and I like her writing style. I will be reading more by this author.
