The Kings are back in Heart and Soul by Carla Terrell but his time the spotlight is on Laramie King. Laramie the younger brother of Carson is still in love with his sister-in-law. Laramie knows she is off limits but his wants and desires won’t go away. Carson doesn’t realize that his little brother is finding a variety of reasons to hand out with Seprah. Carson believes his brother would not do anything to harm their family.

What about Seprah? Seprah can see the attraction she has for Laramie but is fully aware that what she is feeling must be dismissed. Seprah loves her husband and will not do anything to hurt him. Unbeknownst to Seprah and Carson, Laramie is planning and if successful will get everything he wants. Will Laramie’s plan be fulfilled?

Carson is struggling with being a husband and following the Lord. Carson doesn’t realize the more he is absent the more time his brother finds to be with his wife. Seprah feels a little neglected but understands her husband’s work for the Lord and doesn’t want to complain. Will Carson come to his senses? Or will he push his wife away?

The author has weaved a compelling story of love and family in Heart and Soul. This was an entertaining book with suspense that will draw the readers in while anticipating what decisions the characters will make next. I enjoy this author’s writing style and look forward to reading more of her work.
