Thea Pfeiffer is running away from problems in her life. On the advice of her uncle, Hershel Pfeiffer, Thea seeks refuge with her uncle’s close friend, Elijah Roth. Thea can only think of hiding but Elijah has rules if she wants to stay with his family. The Roth’s are an Amish family and they follow all of their community laws. Thea is in for a surprise at just how comfortable her city living was once she starts the Amish lifestyle.

When Thea meets Jacob Roth a spark ignites even though she knows he is the forbidden fruit. Jacob was put out of the community and no one is to speak with him which means Thea too. Thea can’t resist him and a chance encounter with Jacob changes everything. Thea doesn’t know Jacob like she thinks she does and when his past starts to affect her, will she still feel the same way toward him?

Outside Woman was a story about secrets, family, love, religion and consequences. This book was entertaining, exciting and had a naughty feel to it because the main character wanted the bad boy in the story. Stacy-Deanne has done it once again by writing a book that readers will not be able to put down. I was sorry the story had to end because the characters are well-written which made the story come to life. I recommend Outside Woman to others.
