Two best friends, one record label and a woman cause trouble in Mixing Business and Pleasure by M. Skye. Jackson Whitmore received a promotion as CEO of Envision record label and is ready to step up his game. Jackson is excited that he has his best friend, Eric to help run the show. These two work well together until the new employee starts.
Milan Wells walks into Envision records and immediately wants to put her womanly touch on everything. Both Eric and Jackson feel drawn to Milan but she knows it’s not good to mix business with pleasure. Milan has an instant attraction to Jackson which soon causes trouble between the two best friends. When Eric challenges Milan to a little competition to feed his ego, Jackson tries to step in to mediate.
Jackson and Milan soon become close and fall in love, which doesn’t set well with Eric. Eric soon plots revenge but will he take it too far.
Mixing Business and Pleasure is about friendship. Jackson and Eric’s friendship is tested because of a woman. The limits a person will take for revenge is crazy. This book was entertaining even though the plot was predictable. I did like the twist close to the end.
