Telluride is a no hold barred young girl who has to deal with a lot in Red Hot Blues by Mickey J Corrigan. A road trip is one thing but the crazy escape that Telluride and her mother, Kittie, are taking just might take its toll out on the both of them. Telluride loves her mother but the situations that her mother puts them in are starting to get dangerous. As they travel across the country in a stolen car Telluride tries to reason with her mother, Kittie and make her understand their lives need an overhaul.
Red Hot Blues is an interesting story that lets the reader into the relationship between a mother and her daughter. This was a quick read but the overall message was very clear. The child should not have to be the parent at sixteen but should have the luxury of just being a child.

Thanks for the cool review! And yes, it is sad when a kid has to be the parent to an irresponsible adult.
