Gabrielle Cartier is a typical teenager wanting to grow up way before her age. Gabrielle’s parents divorced and her mother remarried but this is the least of Gabrielle’s problems. She is at the age where her curiosity and peer pressure from friends has her going down a dark path to destruction. Gabrielle is spoiled and disrespectful and soon turns to unhealthy behaviors and relationships to feel whatever she feels is missing in her life. Gabrielle’s life take another unsuspected turn when she finds out the secret her biological father has been keeping.

Victoria Bouvier only wants what is best for her daughter, Gabrielle and knows she can come off a little preachy at times. Victoria has worked hard to make sure that Gabrielle has everything she needs but it doesn’t seem to move Gabrielle anymore. After a devastating event takes place the family unit shatters causing Victoria to try to get things back in order. It is hard for Victoria because her past will not stay where it should and that is in the past.

His Grace, His Blood, His Mercy! was an interesting book that touched on a variety of subjects such as unprotected sex and drugs but also gives readers drama and will have them frustrated at times. This book expresses that your past never leaves you and it affects everyone around you especially the people you love. It also hints that parents should pay more attention to their children. I recommend this book to others.
