Venetia Aston-Montagu, a restoration specialist moves to Venice to work with her godmother. She has given up on love until she meets womanizer, Paolo Barone. She is drawn to him as their attraction grows. Venetia avoids Paolo the best that she can but is soon thrown into his presence after being hired to work in his home. Venetia must be careful because Paolo’s reputation introduces her to some unhealthy characters. She will have to decide if being with him is worth it.

The Echoes of Love was a simple story of a woman needing to open her heart to love again and a man settling down to love a woman. This was an interesting storyline but I was not able to relate to any of the characters. In some areas of the book, there were too many descriptions, which made me annoyed. I did like the fact that Venetia was in the middle of two men wanting her love when she had truly blocked her heart at the ideal of loving a man again. Overall, I do recommend others read this book and form their own opinions. I would read more of this author’s work.
