Daffodil Simmons is spinning a new web in Vengeful Vows by Parker J. Cole. In book three of the Sins of the Flesh series, Daffodil sets in motion a plan for revenge and enlist the help of Vincent Miller. She knows Vincent still loves her half sister, Leah, so she gives him a proposition that he can’t refuse. As Daffodil’s web continues to spin, she is caught off guard when her past comes back to break it.

Vincent is forced to go along with Daffodil’s plan but realizes he is getting something out of it. He will be able to take part in destroying Leah’s marriage so he can win her back. Vincent still doesn’t understand how she can stay married to the man who killed their son. In the process of helping Daffodil, Vincent didn’t plan to grow feelings for her. As her secrets unravel, he has to decide if the charade is worth keeping up.

Vengeful Vows is a suspenseful novel about family secrets, betrayal and revenge. The characters were well-developed and had me anticipating what they would do next. The twist were unsuspected as well as the end. I loved the bond between Daffodil and Vincent and how it emerges over the length of their time together. I also loved Daffodil’s pet spider even though it’s creepy. I recommend the whole Sins of the Flesh series especially book three, Vengeful Vows to others.
