In The Flip by Michael Phillip Cash, readers are introduced to Brad and Julie Evans, realtors who take junk houses and flip them into properties to sale and make a profit. In Long Island a house becomes available on Bedlam Street and the Evans jump at the chance.

As they start to prepare the house strange things start to happen. It seems Brad and Julie are not the only ones interested in owning the Hemming’s House. Brad starts to notice little things and tries to convince Julie to let the house go, but she won’t give up on it. The more they put into the house the more of a strain it may put on their marriage.

The Flip is an interesting book about dwellers who don’t want to give up their home and its history. It is also about a couple trying to make a living. It took a while for me to connect with the characters but I enjoyed the flashbacks to the 1800’s that gave glimpse into the dwellers lives. It is a book worth reading and I recommend it to others.
