Title: Single by Christmas

Author: Rosa Temple

Publication Date: October 2, 2016

Genre: Christmas Romance

Rating: 4 Stars = Great Page Turner

In Rosa Temple’s, Singe by Christmas readers meet, Alex Marshall, a care free girl with a no holds barred attitude. Alex is dating Charlie, a guy who loves music and the comfort of just being together. You would think a girl wanted someone with these qualities.

After being together for almost a year, Alex takes a trip that changes the dynamics of their relationship, which makes everything uncomfortable. Alex doesn’t know what she should do and doesn’t know how Charlie will handle the truth. Since Christmas is coming and it is the first they will spend together, Alex may need to say a little pray and hope the holiday spirit will keep Charlie from going over the edge.

Single by Christmas is a chicky book with a few surprises. Temple’s characters are ones you’ll either love or hate. The book started a little slow for me but picked up especially when I realized Alex’s actions and attitude made me want to smack her. My heart went out to Charlie; I felt he fell for the wrong person.

This book had interesting characters that consistently built the storyline until I just had to finish it. Overall, this being the first book I’ve read by this author has made me want to read more of her work to get a better sense of her writing style. I recommend Single by Christmas to chick lit fans and those who like a little drama.
