Book Review: The Inheritance by Rochelle Alers

Title: The Inheritance

Author: Rochelle Alers

Rating: 4 Stars=Great Page Turner

After being laid off from her job, Hannah Dupont-Lowell decides to go back home to News Orleans. She invites three friends, Tonya, Nydia and Jasmine from her former employer as guest in her home. Hannah plans to convert the family home into an inn for visiting guest. She wants the help of the three women to make the transition happen, but a class reunion and one handsome old friend might stall the plans.

Professor John McNair is attending his high school reunion along with Hannah. The two pick up their friendship but John soon wants more and Hannah’s resistance might pose a problem.

The Inheritance is a wonderful story about releasing past pains to move forward and love again. It had an historical element and a compelling storyline that allows these characters to find new happiness. I appreciate the relationship between the four women and their pure honesty. This made for an interesting read. I look forward for the next book in this series.
