Heaven Adjacent is a woman fiction book about a woman seeking peace after losing her best friend and business partner. Rosanna hits the road not telling a soul and finds a small farm. She believes this place will provide the peace she seeks. It seems her little hideaway has other plans.

I really connected with Rosanna’s character with her determination to get away from everyone and everything. I could understand her running away but in doing so she ruined some relationships. I appreciated the author’s descriptions of the farm and how Rosanna had to adjust to her new environment.

The only issue I found was the story jumped from before and after Rosanna moved. The back and forth distracted me from the story and some of the characters. It also made me loose interest at times. It didn’t bother me that it was told in third person because there was several characters. Overall even though it wasn’t my favorite book by this author it won’t stop me from reading more of her work. I recommend this book to those who love women fiction.
