A beautifully written story about dreams coming true and a hotel’s mystery.

Kate Morgan works at her family’s restaurant bored with the everyday hustle and bustle. She dreams of one day working on a film set. Her grandfather keeps her dream alive by convincing her to take a leap of faith. He asked her to do one thing to find the beautiful stranger. Kate has no clue who that is or where to find him or her.

Kate is a character easy to care for as well as her grandfather and the Dementia he is fighting. Reading this book, I wanted Kate to succeed in finding the beautiful stranger, not for herself, but for her grandfather. It is a story that touches your heart. I enjoyed Kate going for her dream and meeting Sean who helped her.

I figured out the connection between Kate, her grandfather and the beautiful stranger early, but it was still exciting to get to those parts in the in the store. It just felt like the mystery element of the story dragged on.

My favorite parts of the book where the flashbacks told by the beautiful stranger. Having read previous books by this author, the Beautiful Stranger is now my favorite. I recommend this book to those who like historical fiction and mystery stories.
