In The Billionaire Banker by Georgia Le Carre readers are introduced to Lana Bloom, a young woman desperate and in over her head. When she learns her mother is dying and there is no money to take care of their bills. Lana decides the best thing for her to do is become an escort to make quick money. Lana is escorted to a restaurant by the most disgusting man but once there her night takes a sudden turn.

When you’re the highest bidder you can get whatever you want and Blake Law Barrington did just that to acquire Lana’s company. Lana is glad that Blake saved her from her demeaning companion but she doesn’t realize what she has gotten herself in to. When Blake goes over the rules of their arrangement something stirs in Lana and she cannot deny how Blake makes her feel. Lana must continue to remind herself that it is an arrangement to help her mother and nothing more. What do you do when your heart is telling something else?

What I Did Not Like: I could not relate to the characters and the romantic connection was not there for me between Lana and Blake. This book also took longer to pick up than I expected.

What I Did Like: The book had an interesting storyline that did keep my attention until the end. I recommend this book to others.
