Two old friends renew their friendship to answer old questions in The Fall of Our Secrets by Tracy Gardner Beno. Laura is a single mother dealing with a relationship that is not going anywhere. Laura finds an escape from her dead end relationship and life once her best friend, Nicole comes for a visit and they start to investigate past secrets. Laura soon finds out that there is more available to her when she meets Adams.
Nicole left her home in a rush when she was younger because of her father. Nicole is now married with a loving and supportive husband who wants her to be happy. Nicole feels her life is missing something that stems from her past. She asks her best friend to help dig into her past. It’s been said to leave things in the past but as Nicole and Laura investigate both are shocked by what is uncovered.
The Fall of Our Secrets was a book that captured my attention until the end. It was a page turner with twists and turns that will have readers anticipating the characters next moves. This book had well-developed characters that gave the storyline a hit of drama and a touch of suspense. I enjoyed this author’s writing style and look forward to more of her work.
